Historically a horse stud, Hartland Stud is a home to a quaint, peaceful campsite, DIY horse livery yard and small business community with a number of offices. Set in the heart of stunning countryside, Studland’s breath taking beaches are just a short drive away.
Camp Hartland
Camp Hartland is open for approximately 30 days during the summer holidays and offers you a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of your busy lives and sample the great outdoors exactly as it should be. Come and pitch your tent for a night or more, sleeping below the stars in peaceful surroundings. A choice of beautiful beaches just a short drive away for you to brace yourself for an invigorating sea swim, lie on the silky sand, take country walks or sit by your tent reading a good book. Whatever your past time... we look forward to seeing you soon.
SUMMER 2024
Dogs are welcome at no extra charge. Cash is handy as our café accepts cash and cards and we can supply firewood at £5 (cash) per bag. Campfires are allowed unless the weather has been persistency dry and hot, as this poses a fire risk to the heathland we are surrounded by.
We have 1 main wash block which comprises of a washing up area and 2 family shower rooms (loos, shower and sink). There are additional 2 shower shacks and 4 additional field toilets.

The Kitchen at Harland
The Kitchen at Hartland is a dog friendly café that provides a comfy dining space indoors and out with lovely views of our quiet surroundings.
We welcome you to drop in for Dorset tea or choose from our exciting range of coffees, which you can enjoy with a piece of homemade cake. If you fancy something a little more, hot or cold, we offer a range of pasties, pies, quiches, sausage rolls with a range of salads. Our menu does vary day to day depending on what has come out of the oven!
Hartland Stables
The DIY livery can accommodate grazing for up to 5 horses or ponies each with their own stable, spacious tack room for all and personal storage space for hay / straw and larger items.
Hartland Offices
Our office studios comprise of 7 units, newly decorated in a barn conversion with shared kitchen, meetings room, wash rooms and disabled access. The variety of businesses here can obviously vary from time to time but is always an interesting mix. Businesses range from beauty, physiotherapy and jewellery design to pasty and pie making, contributing to a very vibrant community.
The largest studio is reserved for pilates, yoga and meditation has beautiful views across the yard and beyond. This space can host a variety of activities including day retreats or workshops.

Hartland Stud Offices is helping to reduce Dorset’s carbon foot print with the installation of a new PV Solar Panel system.
With East and West facing panels this will provide the offices with more sustainable electricity during daytime hours. Our project has been part funded by Low Carbon Dorset as part of the European Regional Development Fund and will save over 4.65 tonnes of CO2 each year.
